Mission: To promote healthy aging in the Mexican population through the production, dissemination and use of scientific knowledge, the development and training of human resources and the provision of health services aimed at the elderly. All this to contribute to the transformation of the National Health System.

Vision: To be the leading Institution, nationally and internationally, in research on aging, in education of excellence to train highly prepared human resources and in quality health care for the elderly, in order to lead the transformation of the National Health System with the aim of to maintain and preserve the functional capacity of the Mexican elderly.
