Foundation: 1981

Mission: The Universidad de La Frontera is a state-run, autonomous, socially responsible institution of higher education located in the Araucanía Region. Its mission is to contribute to the development of the region and the country through the generation and transmission of knowledge, the comprehensive training of professionals and postgraduates, and the promotion of the arts and culture.
