Foundation: 1980

Mission: IPVC is a public institution of higher education, at the service of the development of the person and society, which creates and shares knowledge, science, technology and culture. It promotes the integral formation of students throughout their lives, combining teaching with research, in a proactive attitude of permanent innovation, cooperation and commitment, focused on the development of the region and the country, and on internationalisation.

Vision: IPVC is an institution that stands for the quality of its organizational and governance models, innovative and proactive. It is based on a diversified, innovative, professionalizing, global and versatile training offer, in full articulation with applied research and in permanent commitment to the region and the country. It is constituted as a dynamic community, focused on the promotion of human potential and that, through collaborative networks, encourages entrepreneurship with a view to employability, in a logic of co-creation of value. It is an institution committed to internationalization through knowledge sharing, training, mobility and project development, being recognized in international cooperation, particularly with the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries.
