Foundation: 1977

Mission: The mission of the University over the coming seven years is to increase the academic quality of its research and education, and its attractiveness and competitiveness. This will be achieved by way of two general goals: one, the establishment of cohesive academic environments and two, the safeguarding of the Dalarna University hallmark. By way of specific measures, this will serve to strengthen a number of central aspects of quality.

Vision: Our vision aims to present a picture of the future that we all - colleagues and students alike - create through our daily work. The vision is therefore about us today and about the University tomorrow. It is formulated in three parts: Our Commitment, Our Values and Our Vision.
