Foundation: 1972

Mission: The mission of the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences is to educate, train, and comprehensively prepare uniformed services health professionals, scientists, and leaders to support the Military and Public Health Systems, the National Security and National Defense Strategies of the United States, and the readiness of our Uniformed Services.

Vision: By the end of Calendar Year 2023, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences will be internationally recognized as DoD’s leading educational institution that a) creates and develops career Uniformed Services leaders in the health sciences and b) conducts, develops and disseminates innovative warfighter-relevant health research and technology that directly impacts the survivability and lethality of the US Warfighter and improved health for the DoD community.
