Mission: The University of Caldas, in compliance with the social function that corresponds to its public nature, has the mission to generate, appropriate, disseminate and apply knowledge, through curricular, research and projection processes, to contribute to the integral formation of citizens useful to society, to provide solutions to regional and national problems and to contribute to the sustainable development and integration of the Colombian center-west.

Vision: An effective University, visible by the quality of its contributions to development, in a global context characterized by A pleasant atmosphere, based on respect for life and difference, solidarity, responsibility, order, tolerance and participation. Flexible curricular processes, contextualised and articulated, to contribute to the integral formation of autonomous persons, agents of social practice. A research that produces and recreates knowledge, generated in scientific communities, focused on schools of thought, which bases the development of postgraduate programs. A social commitment expressed in proposals for solutions to the problems posed by sustainable development. Self-controlled administrative and financial processes in a modern organizational structure.
