Mission: The University of Cartagena, as a public institution, through the fulfillment of its substantive functions of teaching, research and extension, and its process of internationalization, forms competent professionals in different areas of knowledge, with scientific, humanistic, ethical, cultural and axiological foundations. This allows them to exercise responsible citizenship, contribute to social transformation, and lead business, environmental and cultural development processes in the contexts of their institutional action.

Vision: To be in a process of permanent academic and social transformation in order to respond to the changes and demands of the environment. It will provide an orientation according to the pedagogical model of the moment regarding EDUCATION FOR WORK AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT, which will lead the graduates to collaborate with the professional in identifying the oral needs of the environment, in order to participate in the solution.
