Mission: ČVUT v Praze vytváří přidanou hodnotu k nabídce studijních programů, k vědeckým a výzkumným programům v podobě hluboké historické zkušenosti sahající více jak 300 let do historie technického vysokého učení v českých zemích. Navazuje na svou historickou úlohu, kterou jako Pražská polytechnika a později ČVUT plnila v minulých stoletích, kdy v českých zemích poskytovala znalostní základ pro bouřlivý rozvoj průmyslu a ve století dvacátém i na přelomu tisíciletí podpořila světovost českých inženýrů v řadě oborů. ČVUT nabízí tvořivé prostředí, založené na úzké spolupráci fakult a ústavů s kompetencemi v širokém spektru technických, ekonomických, zdravotnických, přírodovědných a dopravních oborů a hluboké znalosti v oblasti kybernetiky, informatiky a designu. Svými kompetencemi ČVUT přináší přidanou hodnotu v expertizách pro průmysl, státní správu a obohacuje tak nejen vzdělávací možnosti na vysoké úrovni v ČR a Evropě, ale i vědu a výzkum v oborech své působnosti. Pro své poslání přední technické univerzity ČVUT usiluje o vysokou efektivitu organizace, která se opírá o synergicky působící procesy výhodně spolupracujících fakult, o dobře fungující informační systém a další informační a komunikační podpory univerzity.
Vision: ČVUT v Praze posílí své postavení významné a vyhledávané výzkumné univerzity v evropském vzdělávacím prostoru s náročným a vlídným přístupem ke studentům. V oblasti vzdělávání a vědy chce ČVUT být i nadále důstojným partnerem předním pracovištím v Evropě i ve světě, přičemž bude usilovat o prohloubení vztahu s Akademií věd ČR. Aktualizací a modernizací výuky zaměřené na tvůrčí inženýrské schopnosti chce univerzita i nadále vytvářet atraktivní studijní programy. V oblasti výzkumu a inovací chce udržet a posílit své postavení na čele spolupráce s průmyslem a veřejnou správou, vytvářet podmínky pro růst inovačního potenciálu, umělecké a další tvůrčí činnosti, transferu technologií a znalostí pro společnost. Zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti vidí ČVUT v prohloubení užší spolupráce s vybranými vysokými školami, zejména pražskými, a to až na úroveň integrace. ČVUT bude vytvářet odpovědné vědomí o nutnosti podpory technického vzdělávání a vědy a výzkumu v technických oborech.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.

For an institution to have a presence in an area, it is necessary that it exceed in the last year a minimum output threshold equivalent to twice the percentage that this area represents in the world.
