Mission: The IBP mission is to investigate fundamental biological processes at the molecular level and to exploit this knowledge for applications in collaboration with industrial partners. The areas of interest are protein structure-function and biocatalysis, molecular and cell biology, immunology and pharmacology. Translation is towards biotechnologies such as biotransformation, and towards drug development in the fields of cancer, immune, inflammatory, neurological or rare diseases, and vaccination. Emphasis is also given to the training of young scientists and to science dissemination programs.
