Mission: The IBPM carries out research in the following thematic areas: - Study of the structural basis of the function of proteins and nucleic acids, in particular in the regulation of the expression of genes and genomes, of structural and regulatory proteins and of molecules of the immune response; - Study of the molecular mechanisms of evolution and differentiation in animal and plant organisms and biotechnological and biomedical applications; - Design, synthesis, biosynthesis, purification and characterization of biologically active molecules: development of innovative chemical and molecular methodologies; characterization of the mechanisms of action and effects on human health.
