Foundation: 1996

Mission: The ANLIS is an organism that executes the sanitary policies of the Ministry of Health regarding the prevention, referential diagnosis, investigation and treatment of toxo-infectious diseases, genetically based, nutritionally based and non-communicable. Likewise, it is responsible for the production and quality control of immunobiologicals, in the execution of health programs linked to its area of ​​concern, in the coordination of laboratory networks in the country, in carrying out epidemiological studies and in teaching and training human resources in their labor relations.

Vision: The ANLIS must be strengthened as a National and Regional Reference body in the field of Public Health, in sanitary and scientific-technological matters, which provides quality services in diagnosis, prevention and treatment, in the production of biologicals, in the control quality, in teaching and research and in epidemiology.
