Mission: Its missions and objectives point to scientific research and since its creation it has maintained the responsibility of forming, enriching, guarding and studying the Biological, Paleontological and Geological collections, valuable natural heritage and reference for researchers from the country and abroad. Likewise, it has developed modern laboratories dedicated to research in Natural Sciences -both in basic and applied science- with projects focused on responding to local and regional problems and needs.
