Mission: The mission of the INIA Forestry Research Center (INIA-CIFOR) is to provide society, directly and through public administrations, sector associations and companies in the forestry sector, with the scientific knowledge and services necessary for better conservation, management and sustainable use of national forest systems and resources, in the current panorama of global change. CIFOR integrates research teams specialized in the knowledge of the forest environment, its dynamics and disturbances, genetic improvement, Mediterranean and intensive forestry, the characterization and improvement of raw materials and the design and optimization of its transformation processes; which allows addressing the problems of the forestry sector in a unitary and integrative way.
