Mission: The work of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, in its commitment to the Andalusian Public Health System, will be done from the ground up, with the participation of everyone and will seek to improve the level of health of citizens and their satisfaction, meeting their expectations, guaranteeing continuity of care, doing so efficiently, in line with the available resources and the characteristics of our population, constituting a hospital that adds knowledge, skills and abilities of professionals of recognized prestige and who will be, independently, national and international reference.
Vision: The Virgen del Rocío University Hospital is a centre of excellence at the service of citizens, integrating all aspects of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that require specialised care based on the best available evidence, in an efficient manner, responding to citizens' expectations and promoting continuity in health care. It prioritizes safety, quality and humanization of patient care. It collaborates and participates actively in defining strategies for the Andalusian Public Health System, in order to achieve sustainability, through leadership in policies to contain spending, as well as promoting teaching and research and innovation. It promotes leadership in the implementation of comprehensive plans in the context of the Andalusian Public Health System. Exerts leadership in applied and translational clinical research based on the promotion of IBiS. It maintains close collaboration with Primary Care for the establishment of forms, protocols, criteria for referral and shared management of patients, guaranteeing continuity of care. It promotes leadership in the organization of both theoretical and practical teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as continuous training. It encourages leadership in the promotion of citizen participation. Leads the implementation of centers, services or units of national and European reference. Promotes Corporate Social Responsibility.
