Mission: The fundamental mission of the National Hospital for Paraplegics consists of: - Provide comprehensive health and rehabilitation services to people with spinal cord injury in a timely, effective manner, with professional and human quality and generating social profitability. - Carry out high-quality scientific and technical research in the field of neurosciences and, specifically, in relation to the problems that affect our patients, which entails promoting and making true translational research a reality that, in addition, contributes to the technological development of Castilla-La Mancha and Spain and transfer knowledge to the productive sector. - Promote the training of highly qualified personnel in their field of action.
Vision: Given the importance of spinal cord injury in the life of a person and in their environment, the work of the center's professionals that make up the multidisciplinary team goes beyond purely clinical aspects, which includes a vision of this reality from the point of view of from a social, educational, work, psychological, cultural point of view and everything that, in short, helps to achieve the objective of comprehensive rehabilitation and the normalization of the lives of patients. As an institution, the National Hospital for Paraplegics aspires to be a "Center of Excellence" with a position of national and international leadership in its fields of specialization from the point of view of care, research and continuous training.
