Mission: The mission of the Son Espases University Hospital, as a highly specialised, high-tech public centre of reference, is to provide more value to the health of people in the Balearic Islands and to develop promotion, prevention, care and rehabilitation activities in cooperation with other agents in the system, especially with Primary Care. Son Espases University Hospital is committed to training health professionals and developing knowledge through research and innovation.
Vision: To be the reference hospital organization in the Balearic Islands with the best clinical practices and accredited degrees of excellence, integrated into the health system and recognized as one of the main ones in the country. To achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and confidence of our patients.
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
