Mission: The University of Mondragon is a cooperative university, of public utility, integrated into Mondragon, with a social and non-profit making initiative and vocation, whose primary mission is the transformation of society through the comprehensive training of people and the generation and transfer of knowledge. We promote integral quality learning, which incorporates, in addition to scientific-technical knowledge, the skills and values derived from the cooperative experience so that our students are active agents in the transformation of society, contributing to sustainable humanistic, technological and economic progress, through the development of companies/organisations and entrepreneurship. The University of Mondragon will provide the necessary conditions to have a group of innovative people committed to the satisfaction of their students, companies and other organisations. Mondragon Unibertsitatea considers itself a participant in a global university system.
Vision: Mondragon Unibertsitatea is an innovative university committed to its social and business environment. It leads university educational innovation, through the transformation of learning processes, with the capacity to design flexible and customizable training itineraries, incorporating digitalization in a transversal way in all its services and learning processes. Students and graduates of the University of Mondragon are highly valued by society for their knowledge, attitude, learning ability, technical competence and international experience, and for values such as cooperation and commitment. Undergraduate students come mainly from the Basque Country and develop in an environment that is strongly linked to the territory and open to the world. The postgraduate and lifelong learning offer has extended its area of influence to new geographical areas in Spain and abroad. Mondragon Unibertsitatea is recognised for its collaborative research model and transfer projects. It has contributed to improving the competitiveness of the business fabric of the Basque Country, to the development of the gastronomic sector and to the transformation of the Basque Country's educational system. It is very well positioned in emerging fields and in some areas it is also an international benchmark. Mondragon Unibertsitatea has led the development of Mondragon's knowledge, promotion and innovation area.
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
