Foundation: 1968

Mission: The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid is a public law entity which, within the scope of its competencies, is responsible for the public service of higher education through research, teaching and study, as well as the transfer of knowledge to society. It has legal personality and its own assets and makes autonomy a fundamental sign of its identity. It is defined by its desire for innovation and social involvement, in coordination and collaboration with other universities and institutions.
