Mission: Our educational orientation is based on the pillars of Christian humanism, pillars that support our vocation for educational personalization, articulated in tutoring and integration programs. Pillars that drive our social commitment, which translates into an extensive scholarship policy and pioneering initiatives in academic volunteerism and community service, both nationally and internationally. The values represented by these pillars are also the basis of our involvement in the generation of relevant research. Research that contributes, from a technical and humanistic dimension, to the improvement of the society in which we live. These are our pillars because we are a work of the Catholic Association of Propagandists (ACdP). An association of lay Catholics that during the 20th century was responsible for the implementation of relevant media and the creation of Caritas Spain. A group of people who played a key role in the peaceful political transition that Spain underwent to become a democratic country. Committed people, proactive people, people who have been creating non-profit educational works that want to contribute to the improvement of society. This is what we say we are. But it's not what we say that's important, it's what we do.
Vision: To be an international University, because we want our students to have no borders. To be an innovative University, because we know that today we no longer learn as we did yesterday. To be a personal University, because we know that only through personalization can we help each one of you as you need to be helped. That is why we have a goal: to train valuable people on an intellectual, professional and human level who know how to add value to society and help improve it.
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
We have divided the scientific output of the institution into 19 large areas of knowledge and the following table shows only the ranks in different territorial domains achieved by the institution in each of the areas. For an institution to have a presence in an area, it is necessary that it exceed in the last year a minimum output threshold equivalent to twice the percentage that this area represents in the world. If you need scientific indicators on these areas visit Scopus and/or SciVal.
