Mission: The Mission of the University of Huelva is established in Article 2.1 of its Statutes (Decree 232/2011 of July 12). "As a public institution at the service of society, it is responsible for providing public service in higher education, through study, teaching, research and the transfer of knowledge to society. The University of Huelva shall promote the integral formation of its members, in accordance with the principles or values of freedom, justice, equality and pluralism, as guarantors of free and critical thought and research, serving the purpose of promoting the full development of the human personality in the respect of the democratic principles of coexistence and the fundamental rights and freedoms. The University of Huelva seeks to be an effective instrument of social transformation and progress and to be at the service of the intellectual and material development of peoples, the defence of the environment and peace".
Vision: The University of Huelva aspires to: 1. To be a public university of recognized teaching and research prestige at a national and international level and a cultural nexus of connection at a global level. 2. To be an educational reference and a motor for the development of society, with an educational offer adapted to the needs of the labour market and a research potential developed in parallel with the socio-economic demands of Huelva and its province. 3. To serve as a dynamic element of the culture in its most immediate environment, allowing access to continuous training throughout life and the evolution towards a better world, with equal opportunities and a growing awareness of environmental sustainability.
