Mission: The University of Málaga is an institution of public law, which generates and transmits knowledge, and provides higher education services through teaching, study and research in an environment characterized by technological, cultural and tourist activity. It was created in 1972 following the initiative of a popular movement that resulted in the constitution of the citizen's platform "Friends of the University of Málaga".
