Mission: The mission of the University of Valencia explains the raison d'être of the institution, in accordance with the legal and statutory framework. The process of strategic reflection carried out to define the University of Valencia's Strategic Plan 2008-2011 led to the definition of the University's mission. We understand that this statement is still fully alive, although its achievement will require different objectives and lines of action that focus on new challenges and circumstances. Vision: Within the framework of the UV's mission, and with its scope of activity defined (teaching, research, transfer and culture), it is possible to make the institution's purpose explicit in the form of goals that define and qualify our range of services and specify the milestones we wish to achieve within the time frame of this Strategic Plan 2012-2015. The University of Valencia wants to be recognized in the future by: To be an institution of higher education with a wide, international and quality offer open to all, which covers the needs of continuous training throughout the various phases of the life cycle of the users. The capacity to offer a comprehensive orientation to its students, which is specified in the quality of the university experience at the University of Valencia and in a qualification that promotes professional integration and employability of graduates. The volume and impact of the research results generated by its teams The capacity to attract specialized research resources: attracting and developing talent and competing in international competitive calls. The capacity to offer a wide variety of transfer and scientific-technical services, through visible, accessible and easily understood processes by current and potential users. The capacity to establish long term relationships with the users of transfer services, and to offer them integral solutions that go beyond one-off transactions. The breadth, quality and richness of its cultural offerings and participation in university life, which contributes to providing a 'UV experience' that meets the needs of users.
