Mission: The best way to assimilate modern global knowledge and methods of teaching it with the latest technologies and knowledge means, as it is one of the most important institutions for the desired renaissance and making it an effective engine for development and knowledge economy in the Arab world and the world, as it is a very important institution. So the university works to show the civilized, scientific and technical face through creativity and serious work. The University of Basra also hopes that the university’s mission will be a scientific embodiment of its mission of empowering young generations to innovate and develop by arming them with knowledge and its types and fostering the creative ideas of teachers that lead to real innovations as well as building bridges of cooperation and dialogue between Iraqi, Arab and international universities.

Vision: University of Basrah seeks to be one of the best Iraqi, Arabic, and international universities. It is recognized for its originality, efficiency, and excellence at the fields of university education, scientific research, and community services in a way that achieves comprehensive and sustainable human development in the region.
