Mission: The CHU is a hospital where the most varied pathologies are treated. While it mainly provides curative care, it also allows the early diagnosis of certain illnesses, thanks in particular to its high technology. The education of the patient and his family is an integral part of the care that the hospital provides. In close partnership with the University of Bordeaux, the CHU is a place of education for students. The research carried out at the hospital is essentially clinical research. It is complementary to fundamental research and contributes to the permanent improvement of the quality of care. The CHU carries out public health, prevention and health education activities for the patients it treats.
