Mission: At Niigata University, our overarching mission is to contribute to the peace and development of humankind through education, research, and social philanthropy, while thinking globally as well as locally. As one of our initiatives to accomplish this mission, we have been striving in recent years to accelerate the globalization of our campus and to expand partnerships with overseas institutions. As a result, we have increased the number of students from our partner institutions overseas and have encouraged our own students to participate in study abroad programs as a way of cultivating a broad international perspective, along with deeper knowledge in individual subject areas.
