Mission: Shimane University, as a center of science, is committed to pursuing the truth, teaching and researching arts and sciences, as well as education and research. We will strive for the development of a prosperous society in harmony with nature through research, medical care and social contributions. In particular, we are training people with a global perspective to serve the development of a peaceful international society and social progress. Our mission is to do this. In order to realize this mission, Shimane University will respect the traditions and spirit that it has cultivated as a center of knowledge and culture, and will be a center of knowledge and culture.
