Mission: We are a University Hospital founded and run by the Society of Jesus, and as a complementary provider we offer humane, safe and efficient medical care with emphasis on high complexity, in an academic environment for the training of students from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and as a leading institution, we develop research and make innovative and sustainable contributions to the health system and the community.
Vision: In 2021, HUSI, as an internationally certified Academic Medical Center, will lead from its new facilities an integrated network of health care, teaching and research at the service of the users of the General System of Social Security and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, maintaining the accreditation as a University Hospital.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents.
