Foundation: 1944

Mission: The Universidad Veracruzana is a public and autonomous institution of higher education, which develops its functions of teaching, research, dissemination and creation of culture and extension of university services in the various areas of knowledge in science and technology, humanism, arts and culture with quality, relevance, equity, ethics and in permanent linkage with different social sectors to influence the social development of the state of Veracruz. To this end, it carries out its activities with social responsibility, commitment to transparency and accountability, with sustainable development policies that contribute to the achievement of a more productive, fair and safe society.
