Foundation: 1986

Mission: Making a contribution to society is a key feature of our founding charter. In the previous section we described what our stakeholders expect of us. With this in mind, and in the light of the changes we face, we are fine-tuning our mission and linking our values to our ambitions. The principles of our founding charter are reflected in our mission, which states where we have come from and where we are headed: Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen educates skilled and committed professionals and conducts applied research, making it a key partner locally, nationally and internationally in the development of entrepreneurship and innovative and applicable knowledge.

Vision: To be a learning community, a place where students, lecturers and professional stakeholders learn from each other and work together to solve problems facing society.
