Mission: The focus of our work is on people in emotional distress. Mental crises and mental illnesses are just as much a part of human life as somatic ailments. Together with our patients, we want to find therapeutic ways that lead out of illness and crisis. These paths are individual and should result in an optimally coordinated treatment. It is important to us to include the respective relationships in life. As a university clinic, we see ourselves as a hospital that not only applies the best medical knowledge currently available to its patients, but also provides new findings for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders through our own intensive research. In addition, we are involved in student teaching in order to interest prospective doctors in the psychological side of illnesses. In our cooperation, we place great value on reliability, trust and fairness across all professional groups. We offer every employee an environment for personal and professional development in order to continuously improve the treatment of our patients.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
