Foundation: 1971

Mission: The mission of the University is scientific and didactic activity, carried out by conducting scientific research, providing access to and disseminating knowledge, academic teaching of students, doctoral students and listeners, conducting activities popularizing knowledge, cooperation with domestic and foreign scientific centres. The University shall operate in accordance with universal ethical principles and rules of conduct established in the tradition of European universities. It seeks to shape attitudes in conditions conducive to the upbringing of academic youth and self-fulfilment of the individual. It takes care to respect academic values and develop them in an atmosphere of freedom and tolerance. The University has a consistent policy of improving the quality of education.
