Mission: 1. The aim is to ensure access to care for all patients, without discrimination, and for all pathologies. 2. The CHU also fulfils a mission of education and training for future medical and paramedical professionals. 3. The CHU contributes to research and innovation in the medical field, in partnership with the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, public scientific and technical institutions (e.g. Inserm) or private sector players (pharmaceutical laboratories, biomedical technology developers, etc.). 4. HCLs are an important player in prevention and health education. They initiate or relay public health, screening, prevention and therapeutic education campaigns: cancer, rare diseases, disability, ageing, etc. plans.
