Mission: Lublin University of Technology is the heir to universal university values. Its primary task is to educate young students to become competent specialists and bright and responsible citizens of our Homeland. Ensuring the highest level of didactic, scientific and educational work is the main social role of the University, and participation in the creation of the European educational space is a duty to future generations. As an academic community we recognize the following fundamental values: patriotism and humanism, respect and search for truth, human solidarity, ethical principles in education and research, academic traditions, freedom of research and teaching and cultural heritage. Our aim is to provide students not only with the necessary knowledge and skills, but also to develop creative and responsible attitudes. The education obtained at our University should help graduates understand the links between science and technology and social and civilization development. An important goal of the University is responsible and creative participation in the process of creating a modern information society in our country. It is particularly important to carry out scientific research with respect to freedom of expression, scientific truth and objective evaluation of results. In our research we aim to integrate basic and applied sciences. The University will persistently support scientific research serving the development of its own staff, economy and national culture, enriching our heritage and accelerating civilization progress. As an academic environment, we will support the integration of our scientific teams with the scientific teams of universities and institutes in Poland and abroad. In our daily academic work we recognise the unity of education and science. We will strengthen the University of Technology as a centre that strongly supports economic and technical circles in creating their own innovation strategies, technology transfer, personnel improvement, and a significant impact on the environment in the sphere of material and spiritual culture. Broadly understood public service, especially strengthening the importance of the University as a regional centre of education and technical consultancy is one of the most important elements of our mission. Lublin University of Technology is a special community of teachers, students and other University employees. The sense of community allows us to recognize the overriding principles and goals, while respecting individual beliefs, rights and aspirations of all its members. Respect for the common good builds the good name of the University, perpetuates academic customs and cultural patterns. We will responsibly and persistently promote the development of student self-government, student artistic movement and physical culture of academic youth. The idea of student self-government is an important link in the realization of our mission. We express our special bond with other universities in Lublin. Together with them we create an important centre of education and science. We will actively participate in creating Lublin's academic centre as a significant and attractive one for current and future generations of youth. In the field of education, we will continue our cooperation with secondary education, as we are united by our common concern for the civilisational development of the Lublin Land and our Homeland. Everything we do in education and science is to serve the prosperity and comprehensive development of Man. Fulfilling the University's mission is a special duty and an honorable challenge for our community. Lublin University of Technology expresses its respect and gratitude to its organizers and friends, whose determination and efforts it owes its creation and development.
