Mission: The research of UMR 7194 is resolutely oriented towards the study of the biological and behavioural evolution of hominines over the long term, by placing them in their chronological, environmental and climatic context over different geographical areas. These studies, carried out thanks to a multidisciplinary naturalist approach to prehistory, are rooted in extensive field work, both in France and abroad, and rely heavily on appropriate technical and analytical platforms, rich naturalist and heritage collections and a major training, teaching and dissemination policy that they feed into.
