Mission: The National University of Rio Negro maintains that higher education is a public good and a human right, individual and social, which is a duty of the State to develop it and that it cannot be subject to commercialization. It is an institution committed to the right to learn, so it opens its doors to those who are interested in university studies and make the effort necessary to successfully advance in the activities they undertake, guaranteeing their students the principles of free and fair education established by the National Constitution. Its purpose is to develop and transmit knowledge, with the general objective to contribute to the cultural and social elevation of the nation, human development and professional of the student body that comes to her and the solution of the problems provincial, national and global.
Vision: For UNRN, the path is clear. By strengthening its mission, "to concretize every day what we are and to realize, without pause, the inalienable utopia own: an Argentine, Patagonian, entrepreneurial university".
