Foundation: 2008

Mission: The mission of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) is the comprehensive training of students in the skills demanded by today's society. UNIR is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of all stakeholders involved in the process (students, teaching and research staff, administration and service personnel, public administrations and society in general), through quality training that seeks continuous improvement and excellence. We are particularly sensitive to those who, for various reasons, cannot access in-person centres, or who, being able to do so, prefer to opt for more open and innovative solutions opened up by emerging technologies on the web. Social responsibility orients UNIR's policy towards such basic issues as To make possible the access to university studies to any person who, with the appropriate previous formation, wants to eliminate the barriers of distance, schedules, place, cultural and social that prevent it. To implement teaching and research resources through the development of emerging technologies, so that it is possible to offer a high level of education, with special attention to those that require cultural, technical and social changes.

Vision: In accordance with all the above, the International University of La Rioja wants to be recognized as the best online university in Spanish.
