Mission: The mission of the Champalimaud Foundation is to develop programmes of advanced biomedical research and provide clinical care of excellence, with a focus on translating pioneering scientific discoveries into solutions which can improve the quality of life of individuals around the world. This is done with independence, rigour, dedication, creativity and with a commitment to meet the highest ethical and scientific standards. By its actions the Foundation strives to be a world leader in scientific and technological innovation with the ultimate objective of preventing, diagnosing and treating disease.
