Foundation: 2008

Mission: The mission of the IIS Biodonostia is to be the reference R&D&I centre of the Public Health System in Gipuzkoa, leading the development of scientific and innovative activities of excellence of a translational nature with great repercussions in the Basque Country, generating synergies with its business environment that allow it to undertake value-added projects whose results benefit the patient and society.

Vision: To be a reference centre for research on ageing, precision medicine and health innovation, and a driving force in its environment in terms of knowledge transfer, oriented towards excellence and total quality from an organisational point of view and focusing on the needs of the population.
