Foundation: 2005

Mission: IK4 is an Alliance of private Technology Centres, committed to the industrial and social development of their geographical environment, which enhances the activity of the Centres and contributes to their development and to improving their competitiveness. The Alliance, within a stable collaboration framework, contributes to maximising the value contributed by the partners to increase competitiveness in the industrial and business field by promoting synergies and complementarities between them to enhance their excellence in research, technological development and innovation. It collaborates with the rest of the scientific-technological agents by facilitating the efficient use of the resources destined to research and by promoting the training and integration of highly qualified people in the economic and social environment it serves. IK4 is a reference point in the dialogue with institutions in all aspects related to scientific and technological research, actively collaborating with them in the definition of industrial policies.

Vision: The IK4 alliance is recognised by the industry as a technological reference for its contribution of value thanks to the capacities, means and experience of the member centres to develop useful technology for companies. It contributes to responding to the major challenges of society thanks to the research excellence of its member centres, their international leadership in applied research, technological development and their contribution to public policies for knowledge-based economic development.
