Mission: To enhance translational research by promoting synergy between clinical and core groups, building on existing translational group models, and to optimize resources through common services and more efficient management structures

Vision: To become the reference Health Research Institute of Castilla y León and the Northwest area of Portugal and to be an international reference in Cancer and Neurosciences and Cardiovascular and progressively in other potential areas. To contribute to the consolidation of the Salamanca Biosanitary Campus and another business network to this campus. To act as a driving force and disseminator of knowledge in research and innovation in the biomedical field, acting as a facilitator of the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge from the research activity to the care process.
