Mission: Our mission is to support the economic, social, cultural and environmental development in the Duhok Governorate, Kurdistan Region and Iraq through the continuous supply of quality graduates and research in the different specializations. Strategic plans which modernize the administration, teaching, learning, research and capacity building will be the key to achieve excellence. We also take into consideration the variability of the local and international market demands and providing the technological based services that had happened in the field of education as important references to meet community needs continuously. We strive to serve society directly and through the implementation of ambitious and groundbreaking collaborative research and other international programs to improve all aspects of life.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
