Vision: The USB is a University, nationally and internationally recognized as a center of excellence for its ability to train leaders with a high social commitment, for its ability to generate creative and relevant contributions of technological, scientific and human nature and for its capacity for self renewal and learning. Its academic prestige and its outstanding positioning in the technical and scientific field allow us to actively participate in the international university community, increasing the demand for students from other countries in their training programs. Our educational model is centred on the student and motivated by a permanent search for improvement in the way we generate and transmit knowledge, in how it relates to and is applied in different contexts, and in the validity and relevance, present and future, of the knowledge we teach. We promote and undertake research, development and creation programmes, in a trans-disciplinary and integrated manner, that involve the generation of knowledge and innovations that allow us to expand both our academic offerings and the specialized products and services that we make available to society. We have a dynamic network type organization, flexible, under constant review, which effectively supports a productive and efficient management, based on strategic planning, all of which has allowed us to diversify the sources of income and achieve financial sustainability. In the USB we promote the integration of people with the natural environment, culture and sports. Its physical infrastructure and academic support services are inspired by this integrative model that enhances the quality of life in a comprehensive manner. We do all this as members of a community of people committed to shared Values, a Mission and a Vision, who work with enthusiasm, responsibility and harmony in pursuit of achieving results of great relevance and meaning for people, the institution and the country.
