Vision: By the year 2020, HUMG will become a prestigious multi-disciplinary and distinctive technical university in Viet Nam and in the region, with the scale of training from 25,000 to 30,000 students (converted), fostering high quality human resources in the field of basic investigation and research in the Vietnamese territory. It will become a center for scientific research and technology transfer in earth sciences, mining and other scientific fields; and a place with many leading professionals and lecturers in the country in the fields of Mining, Geology, Geodesy - Cartography, Petroleum, Information Technology, Economics - Business Administration, Construction, especially the construction of underground works, and Environment.
