Mission: The Mission of the University is: to promote the basic principles of the university idea – successful socialization of young people, critical streamlining of the scientific, cultural and historical traditions and passing them down to the next generation thus creating models of civic virtue for them. to perpetuate the work of its patron - the Reverend Paisii Hilendarski, promoting awareness of national identity and developing the scientific, cultural and economic potential of Bulgaria in the interest of and for the benefit of people and society.
Vision: The Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski embraces the following vision for the years to come: Educational, research and cultural institution of European standards and national significance, recognizable throughout the world, distinguished for a stable, dynamic development and highly competitive in the field of natural and social sciences, cultural research and technology.
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
