Mission: Its mission includes; providing excellent updated technical education, preparing highly qualified technical staff capable of effectively dealing work challenges, provide researchers and academic staff with the financial and facilitation supports to carry out his/her scientific researches and publish their findings in rigid scientific journals, carry out technical educational programs that could meet the national work force requirements, establishing secure cooperation and friendship bonds with high ranked international universities and educational institutes. Promoting projects that could improve the life style of both local and national societies. Attracting and rewarding the international lecturers and professors who are willing to join the university academic staff for short and long term employment contracts.
Vision: Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University aspires to be the scientific reference for the promising futuristic generations through its professional scientific research and innovation that effectively contribute to the international knowledge data base.
The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
