Foundation: 2010

Mission: Develop and promote a multidisciplinary biomedical research space, made up mainly of research groups from the University of Malaga and the Regional and Virgen de la Victoria University Hospitals in Malaga, in addition to the Costa del Sol Hospital, and which contribute to scientifically support the programs and policies of the National Health System, preferably promoting translational research at the biomolecular, clinical, epidemiological and technological level.

Vision: To be a proactive and innovative organization, a national and European benchmark, which wants to offer the best possible research and translation at all times. IBIMA must consolidate itself as the health authority of reference for citizens and health professionals in the lines of research it develops and offer a public guarantee of a correct research practice of quality, effectiveness, efficiency and transparency in its financing.
