Mission: The mission of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) is the comprehensive training of students in the skills demanded by today's society. UNIR is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of all stakeholders involved in the process (students, teaching and research staff, administration and services staff, public administrations and society in general), through quality training that seeks continuous improvement and excellence. We have a special sensitivity to attend to those who, due to various circumstances, cannot access face-to-face centers, or those who, being able to do so, prefer to opt for more open and innovative solutions that emerging technologies open up on the Internet. Social responsibility guides UNIR's policy towards issues as basic as: Making access to university studies possible for anyone who, with adequate prior training, wants to eliminate distance, time, place, cultural and social barriers that prevent it . Implement teaching and research resources through the development of emerging technologies, in such a way that it is possible to offer high-level teaching, with special attention to those that demand cultural, technical and social changes.
Vision: The International University of La Rioja wants to be recognized as the best online university in Spanish.

The following data gives a quick reading on the scientific performance in the last years. The research ranking refers to the volume, impact and quality of the institution's research output. The innovation ranking is calculated on the number of patent applications of the institution and the citations that its research output receives from patents. Finally, the societal ranking is based on the number of pages of the institution's website and the number of backlinks and mentions from social networks.
The result of the evaluation of the institution can be compared to obtain a view of the country, the region to which it belongs and the institutions of the world, placing it in their respective positions.
